How to Enable VoLTE on Your Phone

TechGuide

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is a technology that lets your phone make voice calls directly over the 4G/5G network instead of falling back to older 2G/3G networks.

This results in clearer HD-quality audio, faster call connection times, and lets you keep using high-speed mobile data while on a call.

To enable VoLTE, your device must support the feature, your SIM and plan must have VoLTE activated by your carrier, and you need stable 4G/5G coverage in your area.

On Android

  1. 1Open Settings > Connections (or Mobile networks).
  2. 2If you use dual SIM, select the SIM you want to enable it on.
  3. 3Turn on the "VoLTE calls" or "4G calling" toggle.
  4. 4Restart your phone to apply the change.

On iPhone

  1. 1Open Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options.
  2. 2Turn on "Voice & Data" (4G).
  3. 3Make sure iOS is updated to the latest version.
Note: If you don't see the VoLTE option on your device, contact your carrier's support to have the service activated on your SIM.
